August 19, 2020: Does anyone have words for what has happened to all of us over 2020? Back in January, I was so excited to be starting a new season, and to have been excited to be accepted to some new and incredible shows! So many questions...will there ever be a time where festivals and shows come back? These past few months I have had no motivation to create anything. That is going to stop. I have to find my passion again. I've been commissioned to do a custom sign, so I'm feeling the creative juices begin to flow! I hope you all find your creative juice and do what you want to do...but with your health and safety in mind first and foremost.
Until we see each other again at one of my shows, please know that I'm still here, and I can make you a gorgeous jewelry piece to add to your collection, or work with you to create that stunning new piece of wall art!!!
January 30, 2020: Exciting to have the year ending and working on the schedule of shows/festivals for 2020!!! It is a crazy time of year, and many of the application packets have to be sent in! I completed 8 applications and they are in the mail as of today. I also did 2 online applications today. I have my fingers crossed, as I applied to quite a few new festivals that I've never tried before. Thinking over the past year, I have much to ponder. This was the premier of my new wall art line, I doubled the amount of space that I needed for shows, and I purchased a van to haul my works and set up. Moving into next year, I want to expand on my wall art even more!
I also had to make some very tough cuts on the shows for next year, as I have two weddings that interfere with two of my shows. I will not be attending Novato and Pleasant Hill this year due to my daughter's and my son's weddings. I will miss both of these shows this year, but I am extremely happy for my children and their fiance's.
July 31, 2019: Looking forward to the upcoming Scotts Valley Art, Beer & Wine Festival that will be held at the SkyPark in Scotts Valley. It will be held on August 17th and 18th. Hope you can make it out for the show. The weather is generally nice, and there is so much packed into this event!!!
June 18, 2019: Making my way to the Danville Summerfest this coming weekend, June 22nd and 23rd! This will be my first time at this festival, so I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people!!! Come out and visit my double booth, #417 and #419, to see my new jewelry and wall art designs! Hope to see you there!!!
June 10, 2019: Wow, what a hot one!!! Record temperatures in Novato this past weekend at the Novato Festival of Art, Wine & Music, but the event was run beautifully, as always, and the town of Novato is always very pleasant and welcoming!
May 31, 2019: Fun in Novato, CA June 8th and 9th!!! The 36th annual Novato Festival of Art, Wine and Music Festival will be held on June 8-9, 2019. There will be arts and crafts, great music, kids' area, beer and wine, food and more.
March 28, 2019: Super-duper excited to learn that my rotation at the Haute Enchilada Gallery in Moss Landing has been extended another 3 months! YES!!! You can see my jewelry at the gallery until the end of June!
On another note: looking forward to April 6th and 7th as it is Good Ol' Days Celebration time in the lovely Pacific Grove! I'm introducing my new booth set-up this season. I will have a double booth which will feature my jewelry under one canopy and my wall art under the other canopy!!! Come find me on the corner of 14th and Lighthouse. See what I've been up to for the past few months!!! I have lots of new designs on my jewelry, and some really fun and interesting wall art. I'll be spending the next week getting the finishing touches on my new pieces!
February 28, 2019: As February closes, and March blows in, I look forward to the coming show season! I will be starting off the year at the Jackson Dandelion Days Celebration in downtown Jackson, CA. This show is always a great place to attend. The event organizers, the Jackson Lions Club, always make the event easy for the vendor! There are always great booths, off the hook music, and the food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Stop by my booth, #86 in the Bank of America parking lot so you can get an early look at my new designs for the 2019 festival season!!!
January 3, 2019: My, how time flies! Happy New Year from Lisa Grant Designs. We have some exciting things coming in 2019!!! To begin the year, I have my very first gallery show & sale running from January 1st until March 30th. You can see my jewelry pieces, and even purchase them, at the Haute Enchilada Gallery in Moss Landing, CA.

July 17, 2017: Really super excited about this weekend, July 22nd and 23rd!!!! Twain Harte, here I come! It is the first time being part of the festival, so I'm nervous about the unknown, but I'm hopeful that I will be a good fit and that the folks attending the festival will like and appreciate my wares! If you want to take a little road trip this weekend, come on out to downtown Twain Harte. It should be a fun and entertaining weekend!
June 23, 2017: New jewelry designs are flowing out of my workshop right now. I don't know why I'm so inspired!!! I've just rolled out my wholesale line of jewelry, and I'm looking for boutiques and stores that would like to carry my jewelry! Please contact me if you are interested in including my jewelry in your store!
June 1, 2017: Working diligently to get new pieces made for the upcoming Novato Art, Wine & Music Festival on June 10th and 11th. Come check it out, as it will be great! They've been having this festival for 34 years!!!! Hope to see you there!
May 8, 2017: El Dorado Hills Art Beer and Wine Festival is this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Town Center in El Dorado Hills. Come out and say hello!!! My booth is close to Post Street across from Wells Fargo Bank.
May 7, 2017: Thank you to the Livermore Chamber of Commerce for hosting the Wine Country Festival this weekend. The weather was lovely, and your city was welcoming yet again!!!
Now it is time to gear up for next weekend at the El Dorado Hills Art Beer and Wine Festival at the Town Center. Hope to see you there!!!
April 21, 2017: Time is just flying by!!! There are only two weeks until the Downtown Livermore Art and Wine Festival!!! Unfortunately, I don't have a corner booth, although I requested one, but you can find my at Booth 171 just like last year. I'm caddy-corner to Jack-in-the-Box, facing the opposite direction. How to see you there! It should be fun!!!
April 11, 2017: Just a few more weeks until Downtown Livermore Art and Wine Festival. It was such a good time last year, I can't wait until this year!
April 10, 2017: What a wild weekend at Pacific Grove Good Ol' Days Celebration! Saturday morning was a challenge with all the rain, but it sure turned out to be a beautiful weekend. I enjoyed the people, and I always appreciate the hospitality of the residents of Pacific Grove! Thank you, and we'll see you again next year.
March 24, 2017: Two weeks to go until the Pacific Grove Good Ol' Days Celebration. Come to "America's Last Hometown" for an old-fashioned celebration with Pacific Grove's Good Old Days Festival. This small town shows off its big heart with the largest event of its kind in Monterey County. There's a parade, live entertainment on five separate stages, arts and crafts vendors, food booths, carnival rides, a classic car show, a quilt show, pony rides, a dance showcase and more! And best of all, it's free.
The event takes place on April 8th and 9th, 2017. Hope to see you there!
March 19, 2017: Such a wonderful experience at Dandelion Days Celebration in Jackson, CA. Beautiful day and great people!!! Looking forward to next year's event.
February 28, 2017 - So very excited!!!! Just over three weeks until the Dandelion Days Celebration in Jackson, CA. Please come out to this amazing event. Main Street Jackson and the parking lot of the Bank of America will be teeming with booths that include everything from wine tasting to art to jewelry to home decor. It will be fun for the entire family!!!
January 7, 2017 - I sent off several applications for arts and craft faires over the past few weeks. I hope I get accepted to some of the new ones! After going over and planning my shows for the year, I think I am doing 12 of them. The first one is in March, and will be the Jackson Dandelion Days Celebration in Jackson, CA., and as of now, my last one for 2017 is in late November 2017.
New Year - New way of posting for me!!! My previous posts went down with the oldest first.... Doesn't make sense to me because when you come to a blog, you expect to see the most recent first. Well, I'm going to fix that starting now. Hopefully, I can keep this resolution. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a remarkable New Years.

I am trying to get out some new pieces for my show in Santa Rosa on December 3rd and 4th. It is an indoor show called "Wine Country Winter Festival" at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds Pavillion, 1350 Bennett Valley Road.
There are almost 100 vendors, and wine and craft beer tasting!!!

I want to thank all those who came out to my boutique show/sale at Espana's and the Maker's Market at the Ted Falasco Arts Center. I appreciate the support, and your interest tells me that there is a market for my wares! It also tells me that pictures do not do justice to my jewelry pieces. The feedback I received was beneficial, and I will try to get out to more live sales so that my work can be viewed in person.

Interesting day today, as I was learning how to manipulate my new oxyacetylene torch kit. I've been working my way up from propane, to butane, to Mapp gas, and now to oxyacetylene. When flame-painting, the colors are truer and more vibrant when you work with higher temperatures. The picture aboce is from my last flame-painting using Mapp gas. I see a huge difference between that and butane, but my goal is the deepest and truest colors.

I'm working this morning to begin revamping my website. I am adding a few new items too! Don't forget to check them out. I have so many new pieces, but it takes so long to get the pictures, upload them, and then find space on my website. I will be upgrading so that more of my work can be displayed and you don't have to go to multiple sites. As always, I would love input about my site. If you have recommendations, or you have someone or somewhere you think my jewelry should be...let me know!!!
December 31, 2014 -
Well, it's the end of a wonderful year, and I've made some changes to the site. Look around and let me know what you think!!! I'm looking forward to new challenges and bold new designs when it comes to my work. I'm going to be going to some out of town shows, so please check back on my calendar from time to time. I want to thank you again for your support at my previous shows and boutiques. You've given me the drive to keep going and pursue my love of this incredible craft. Happy New Year. Be safe, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I spent the morning working on a couple of new bracelets, and finished the pictures and posted a new bracelet and earrings on the website. I look at that as a good day's work. I love the new turns I'm making with the metal jewelry. I'm adding paint and patinas to the metal, and I'm using different techniques to distress the metals. I'm also learning more about acetylene and how best to work with it. I'm putting together a portfolio to submit to be able to attend and sell at a show in Mountain View, CA in March.

Thank you for all who supported me at the Pacific Grove Good Old Days Celebration this past weekend! It was an amazing experience. A special shout out and thank you to my great friend, and soul-sister, Mo!!! If you didn't get a chance to make it out to this year's festival, look for it again next year. I know that I will be doing this one again!
Just a reminder that I will be at the Los Banos Spring Street Faire this weekend, April 18th! Come on down. My booth will be on the corner of 6th and J Street. Hope to see you!!!!

What a nice day for the Spring Street Faire! Thank you to those who came by the booth to say hello, and to those who purchased my jewelry. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
May 11, 2015 -
Oh my gosh! What a wonderful weekend at the Monterey Bay SpringFest, hosted by the PacRep. It was so nice to be supported by the great people of Monterey. It seemed that everyone had a good time, and the weather was nice. A little cloudy, but the sun came out for a while on Sunday. I'll be going back to the Custom House Plaza at the end of June for the SummerFest. I'm told it is much larger, and that there are many more vendors.
May 14, 2015 -
I just finished filling out the applications for two new craft faires. I'll be doing the Monterey Bay Summerfest June 27 and 28th at the Custom House Plaza between the Wharf and the Portola Inn, and the Carmel Valley Fiesta on August 1st and 2nd at the Carmel Valley Community Park. Hope you can make it to one or both of them!

Thank you to Steele Winery in Kelseyville, CA for the wonderful hospitality for their Harvest Festival this past weekend. Everyone was so welcoming!!! Thank you to my new customers, and I look forward to returning next year. I hope to be returning for their Holiday Faire also!!!

Oh, how time flies!!! I've been so busy trying to get the new look and new name going, I haven't had time to post to my blog! I'm excited because my new pieces are bolder and more "in your face" than ever before, yet there is a certain delicate quality to them. The Festival season is on us again, and I have a pretty full calendar through July. Check where you can find me this spring and summer! If you have any ideas of where you think I should bring my jewelry, shoot me an e-mail. I'm always ready to expand into new areas!
May 25, 2016 -
Awesome weekend at the Monterey SpringFest at the Custom House Plaza at the Wharf. The weather was amazing, even though there were issues with the venue being slightly changed because of the tent de-construction in the Plaza. Thank you to all my new customers!!!! It was also nice seeing familiar faces.
Don't forget to come to the Mushroom Mardi Gras in Morgan Hill on May 28th and 29th.
